We are seeking a Family Practice Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Virginia. This role is ideal for an individual certified in Family Medicine, looking to manage a variety of cases including adult outpatient care, newborn care, and minor surgical procedures. Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct adult outpatient care without ICU/CCU involvement.
- Manage newborn care for infants over 2000 grams.
- Perform gynecological procedures including pelvic exams and Pap smears.
- Handle minor surgical duties such as suturing of minor lacerations and incision & drainage.
- Provide psychiatric care for uncomplicated adult cases, with behavioral health support available on-site.
Additional Information
- Board Certification in Family Medicine required.
- Active Virginia medical license required.
- BLS certification mandatory.
- ACLS and DEA certifications are prerequisites.
