Wellhart is seeking a Gastroenterologist physician for a 24-day locum tenens assignment at a Multi-Specialty Clinic in South Carolina. The assignment consists of three separate weeks of 24-hour call coverage, starting from June 9th, July 21st, and August 18th, 2025. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a Trauma center and performing various GI procedures, including colonoscopy, liver biopsy, esophageal dilatation/manometry, lower GI endoscopy, and sigmoidoscopy. This role requires proficiency with Epic EMR system and offers the potential for extension beyond the initial assignment period.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide 24-hour on-call gastroenterology coverage
• Perform various GI procedures, including colonoscopy and liver biopsy
• Conduct and interpret esophageal manometry
• Carry out esophageal dilatations as needed
• Perform lower GI endoscopy and sigmoidoscopy
• Manage acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Ensure high-quality patient care and communication
• Utilize Epic EMR system for patient documentation
• Adhere to all hospital protocols and safety standards
