Job Description

 We are seeking a skilled Gynecological Oncologist for a locum tenens position at a Hospital in South Carolina. This 48-day assignment starts on 07/01/2025, with a flexible schedule including 24-hour call, productive clinic time, OR coverage, and weekends as needed. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with shift work, call duties, rounding, and clinic consults and follow-ups. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to provide essential gynecological oncology care while enjoying the flexibility of a locum tenens assignment with potential for extension. Please note that this position does not involve obstetrics or deliveries.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide gynecological oncology care in hospital and clinic settings

• Perform surgical procedures in the operating room

• Handle 24-hour call duties as scheduled

• Conduct patient rounds and provide follow-up care

• Offer clinic consultations and follow-ups for gynecological oncology patients

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care

• Utilize eClinicalWorks electronic health record system for documentation and patient management

• Adapt to varying patient loads and acuity levels across different care settings

• Maintain clear communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members


Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice in South Carolina

• No obstetrics or delivery responsibilities

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment

• Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and procedures
