 We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant specializing in Hospitalist care for a locum tenens position in Michigan. This 7-day assignment begins on 06/22/2025, at a rural hospital. The role requires 24-hour shift coverage, with typically 12-15 hours of active work and the remainder on call. The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing respiratory issues, generalized weakness, post-surgical recovery, and other common inpatient conditions. Proficiency in intubations, vent management, and central line placement is essential. This opportunity offers comprehensive hospitalist care in a rural setting, with potential for extension beyond the initial assignment period.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care for a variety of medical conditions

• Manage respiratory issues, generalized weakness, and post-surgical recovery cases

• Perform intubations, ventilator management, and central line placements

• Conduct patient rounds and assessments

• Develop and implement treatment plans

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and specialists

• Respond to medical emergencies and manage critical situations

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using TrueBridge (formerly known as CPSI/Thrive)

• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols

• Provide patient and family education

• Manage 24/7 call duties as the sole provider on shift

Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice in Michigan

• Experience with TrueBridge (formerly known as CPSI/Thrive) is preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required

• Ability to work independently in a rural hospital setting
