Job Description

We are seeking a licensed Hospitalist for a 100-day locum tenens assignment in Michigan, starting on Jun 29, 2025. The role involves varied shift durations across different sites, with a focus on providing comprehensive inpatient care. The selected candidate will be expected to manage an average patient census and participate in admitting and rounding duties.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage the overall medical care of hospitalized patients
• Perform daily rounds to assess patient status and implement necessary care plans
• Admit new patients, review their history, and order necessary treatments
• Work collaboratively with intensivists, pulmonologists, and other specialists
• Ensure accurate documentation using the Epic EMR system
• Handle an average census of 12-50 patients per provider, depending on the site
• Participate in night calls and be comfortable rounding independently

Additional Information

• Hospitalist experience is mandatory
• Must be licensed to practice in Michigan
• Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Experience with Epic EMR system is essential
