Job Description

We are seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner for a 36-day locum tenens assignment in Texas, commencing on Sep 1, 2025. This critical role involves 24-hour shift coverage in a NICU, providing essential care for NICU infants and attending high-risk deliveries.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive care in a Level 3 NICU setting.
  • Manage the daily clinical and operational activities of the NICU.
  • Attend high-risk deliveries and provide immediate neonatal care.
  • Round on newborns and participate in the management of NICU infants.
  • Collaborate closely with a Neonatologist who provides daily rounds and out-of-house call support.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient treatment plans.


Additional Information

  • Required Board Certifications: Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BCC) by the National Certification Corporation (NCC)
  • Licenses Needed: Valid Texas nursing license
  • Other Required Certifications: Advanced Life Support (ALS), Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Minimum Experience: At least 2 years as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
