Job Description

We are seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner for a 24-day locum tenens assignment in Texas, starting Sep 1, 2025. This role involves providing 24-hour in-house coverage in a NICU, managing critical care scenarios, and attending high-risk deliveries. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of neonatal care and the ability to collaborate effectively with neonatologists.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive care and management for NICU infants
  • Attend high-risk deliveries and perform immediate postnatal care
  • Collaborate with neonatologists for critical cases and daily rounds
  • Ensure adherence to advanced life support protocols
  • Engage with family members to discuss patient status and care plans


Additional Information

  • Required Board Certifications: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
  • Must be board certified by the National Certification Corporation
  • Other Required Certifications: Advanced Life Support (ALS), Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
  • Texas licensure is required
