Job Description

We are seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner for a 24-day locum tenens assignment in Texas, beginning Sep 1, 2025. This role involves providing critical care in a NICU, attending high-risk deliveries, and managing newborns. The successful candidate will work 24-hour shifts, ensuring comprehensive coverage and collaboration with a neonatologist.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive care in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
  • Attend high-risk deliveries
  • Manage the overall health and treatment of NICU infants
  • Collaborate daily with a neonatologist who provides support and expertise
  • Participate in the rounding of newborns and critically ill infants


Additional Information

  • Required Board Certification: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner by the National Certification Corporation (NCC)
  • Licenses Needed: Valid Texas license
  • Other Required Certifications:
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Minimum Experience: At least 2 years as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in neonatology
