Job Description

 We are seeking a licensed Neurological Surgeon for a 30-day locum tenens assignment at a Hospital in Colorado. Starting 08/04/2025, this role requires expertise in open cerebrovascular and neuroendovascular procedures, with a heavy surgical emphasis and 50% trauma cases. The physician will work 24-hour call shifts from 7AM to 7AM on specified dates in August, with potential for ongoing coverage of 10-11 days per month from October through December. Key responsibilities include performing thrombectomies, aneurysm clippings, and managing complex neurosurgical cases without the need for patient transfers. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic neurosurgical environment using the Epic electronic health record system.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide 24-hour on-call neurosurgical coverage

• Perform open cerebrovascular procedures

• Conduct neuroendovascular interventions

• Execute thrombectomies and aneurysm clippings

• Manage complex neurosurgical trauma cases

• Handle a diverse range of neurosurgical emergencies

• Utilize Epic electronic health record system for documentation

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

• Communicate effectively with patients and their families

• Ensure adherence to hospital protocols and best practices in neurosurgery

• Adapt to the specific needs of a high-acuity neurosurgical service

• Participate in trauma team activations as needed

• Stay updated on the latest neurosurgical techniques and technologies
