Job Description

We are seeking a licensed Neurologist for a 228-day locum tenens assignment in Tennessee. The role involves comprehensive neurology care primarily in direct patient interaction, estimated to involve 98% of the work time. This opportunity is poised to begin on Sep 1, 2025, and will engage the Neurologist in various clinical settings including inpatient and emergency departments.

- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Responsibilities and Duties

- Provide clinical neurology services to a diverse patient population

- Ensure professional neurology coverage in inpatient and Emergency Department settings

- Coordinate evaluation, treatment, and medical management of Veterans

- Follow all established medication policies and procedures

- Attend monthly staff meetings and participate in on-call rotations

- Ensure compliance with VA rules and regulations regarding clinic wait times and consult completion

Additional Information

- At least 2 years of experience in neurology preferred

- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

- Must be available for on-call duties during off-hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

- EMR system used: CPRS
