 Wellhart is seeking a board-certified Ophthalmologist for a 36-day locum tenens assignment at a Multi-Specialty Clinic in Michigan. The ideal candidate will be available to start on 08/04/2025, with a flexible schedule that includes remote photo interpretations and in-person exams once a week. This position focuses on evaluating neonates for Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality ophthalmological care, interpreting retinal images remotely, and performing in-person examinations. Experience with Epic electronic health record system is preferred. There is potential for assignment extension.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Evaluate neonates for Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP)

• Interpret retinal photographs remotely

• Perform in-person examinations once a week

• Provide comprehensive ophthalmological care to neonates

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

• Maintain accurate and timely medical records using Epic electronic health record system

• Adhere to clinic policies and procedures

• Ensure patient and family satisfaction through excellent communication and care

• Stay updated on the latest developments in neonatal ophthalmology and ROP management

• Provide recommendations for treatment and follow-up care as needed

Additional Information:

• Valid Michigan medical license required

• Board certification in Ophthalmology

• Expertise in neonatal ophthalmology and ROP screening

• Experience with remote image interpretation

• Familiarity with Epic electronic health record system preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
