We are seeking a licensed Orthopedic Surgeon for a 30-day locum tenens assignment at a Multi-Specialty Clinic in Iowa. Starting July 1, 2025, this full-time role requires expertise in a wide range of orthopedic procedures, including total joint replacements, hand and foot surgeries, trauma care, and sports medicine. The surgeon will work Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, with on-call responsibilities. Key duties include clinical consultations, surgical procedures, trauma/orthopedic call coverage, and supervision of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a comprehensive orthopedic practice using the Epic electronic health record system, with potential for extension beyond the initial 30 days.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Perform total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements
• Conduct hand, wrist, knee, shoulder, hip, ankle, and foot surgical procedures
• Manage trauma injuries and provide fracture care
• Offer sports medicine treatments and consultations
• Handle various orthopedic disorders and conditions
• Provide clinical consultations for new and follow-up patients
• Conduct post-operative check-ups and procedures
• Participate in trauma/orthopedic call coverage
• Supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system for documentation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Ensure adherence to best practices in orthopedic care
• Adapt to varying appointment lengths (10-30 minutes) based on visit type
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
