Job Description

We are seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for a 6-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Jul 24, 2025. This role involves 24-hour call shifts, where the pediatrician will provide evaluations or consultations based on ER assessments and manage care for newborns and admitted children.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide in-person evaluations or phone consultations for pediatric patients based on the ER physician's assessment.
• Attend to pediatric patients admitted through the ER or by direct admission.
• Manage care for newborns admitted to the well-baby nursery post-delivery.
• Support resident teaching and precepting as required.

Additional Information

• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible within 3 years in Pediatrics.
• Active CA medical license required.
• Must have a clean malpractice history.
• DEA certification needed.
• Cerner EMR system will be utilized.
