 Wellhart is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for a locum tenens position at hospitals in Michigan. This assignment consists of three separate periods: July 3-7, July 28-29, and August 22-25, 2025, with 24-hour call shifts. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with newborn care, including attending deliveries and C-sections as needed, and must be proficient in performing circumcisions. The role involves managing newborn cases in facilities without an in-house NICU, requiring the ability to transfer complex cases when necessary. The physician will work with the Epic electronic health record system and may have the opportunity for assignment extension.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide comprehensive newborn care during 24-hour call shifts

• Attend deliveries and C-sections as requested

• Perform circumcisions (minimum of five within the last 12 months required)

• Manage newborn cases in facilities without an in-house NICU

• Coordinate transfers for complex cases requiring NICU care

• Utilize the Epic electronic health record system

• Collaborate with hospital staff and other healthcare professionals

• Ensure high-quality patient care and safety

• Adhere to all hospital and department policies and procedures

• Be prepared to handle varying delivery volumes
