 Wellhart is seeking an experienced Radiation Oncologist for a locum tenens position at a healthcare facility in Illinois. This 30-day assignment begins on 08/01/2025, offering weekday shifts from 8 am to 4 pm with no on-call duties. The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing 10-15 daily treatments, conducting weekly on-treatment visits (OTVs) on Wednesdays, and handling 1-2 consultations per week. This role requires the ability to see patients efficiently and execute precise and accurate treatments in a timely manner. Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide radiation oncology services for 10-15 daily treatments

• Conduct weekly on-treatment visits (OTVs) on Wednesdays

• Perform 1-2 new patient consultations per week

• Develop and implement precise treatment plans

• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care

• Maintain accurate and timely medical records using the Epic system

• Adhere to facility policies and procedures

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives as needed

Additional Information:

• Illinois medical license required

• Board certification in Radiation Oncology preferred

• Strong clinical skills and experience in radiation oncology
