Wellhart is partnering with a Hospital in Michigan to place a locum tenens Physician Assistant specializing in Thoracic Surgery for a 60-day assignment starting June 2, 2025. The position requires 4 days per week, with 10-hour shifts and no call duties. The PA will be responsible for assisting in thoracic surgeries, with a focus on robotic lung resections and foregut surgery.

Start Date: June 2, 2025

Facility Location: Michigan

Provider Needed: Physician Assistant Specializing in Thoracic Surgery

Type of Facility: Hospital

Requirements:

• Board Certified PA (NCCPA)

• Active Michigan PA license

• Thoracic OR Experience or Cardiac OR first assist experience

• Clean Background

• BLS and ACLS certifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Robotic surgery experience

Responsibilities:

• Assist in thoracic surgeries, particularly robotic lung resections and foregut surgery

• Perform bedside assisting and robot docking

• Conduct pre-op testing and patient evaluations

• Collaborate with surgical teams in the operating room
