Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 36-day locum tenens assignment in Pennsylvania, beginning Oct 1, 2025. The provider will cover shifts from Monday to Sunday, 8am to 8pm, addressing a range of conditions from cold/flu symptoms to minor burns and performing procedures like splinting.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Evaluate and treat patients with cold and flu symptoms, rashes, lacerations, abrasions, and sprains.
  • Provide care for minor burns and perform minor orthopedic procedures, including splinting.
  • Ensure proper wound care and management.
  • Refer high acuity cases to the local emergency room as necessary.
  • Utilize the Epic EMR system to document patient interactions.


Additional Information

  • Board certification required: ACLS, BLS
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in internal medicine, pediatrics, or family practice is essential.
  • Must be comfortable treating patients of all ages.
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Pennsylvania needed.
  • DEA and CSR licenses are prerequisites.
