Wellhart is seeking a skilled Urology Surgeon for a locum tenens position at a Trauma Hospital in Colorado. This 50-day assignment begins on 07/14/2025, with potential for extension. The role involves 23-hour shifts from 8 am to 7 am the following day, with coverage needed for specific stints in July, August, and September. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, emergency room, and clinic. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment using the Epic EMR system, providing comprehensive urological care to patients.

Schedule: 23-hour shifts, 8 am to 7 am the following day

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide urological care in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, emergency room, and clinic 

• Perform urological surgeries and procedures as required 

• Conduct patient consultations and follow-ups 

• Manage complex urological cases in a Trauma setting 

• Utilize the Epic system for efficient workflow management 

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all procedures and patient interactions 

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care 

• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols 

• Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling, with availability for specific stints and ongoing coverage 

• Participate in on-call rotations as needed 

• Provide emergency urological care when required

Additional Information: 

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in Colorado 

• Familiarity with Epic system is preferred 

• Strong adaptability to new work environments and team dynamics 

• Excellent communication skills and commitment to high-quality patient care 

• Experience in trauma-related urological care is highly desirable 

• Ability to work extended 23-hour shifts is required
