Job Description

Wellhart is seeking an experienced Vascular/Interventional Radiology Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens position at a hospital in New Hampshire. This 39-day assignment begins on April 28, 2025, with a Monday to Wednesday schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM. The role involves covering the Interventional Radiology service line, managing IR cases, and utilizing eClinicalWorks and Meditech EHR systems. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with a range of IR procedures and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team. This opportunity offers a chance for extension and requires an active New Hampshire license.

Job Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide advanced practice nursing care in the Interventional Radiology department 

• Assist with a variety of IR procedures and cases 

• Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans 

• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals 

• Perform pre-procedure evaluations and obtain informed consent 

• Monitor patients during and after IR procedures 

• Manage post-procedure care and follow-up 

• Interpret diagnostic imaging results as appropriate within scope of practice 

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using eClinicalWorks and Meditech EHR systems 

• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures 

• Provide patient and family education on IR procedures and aftercare 

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the IR department


Additional Information: 

• Must be a licensed Nurse Practitioner with Vascular/Interventional Radiology experience 

• Active New Hampshire license required 

• Experience with eClinicalWorks and Meditech EHR systems preferred 

• Strong clinical skills in IR procedures and patient management 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team 

• Commitment to ongoing professional development in IR techniques and technologies
