Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesiology Nurse Practitioner for a 46-day locum tenens assignment in Montana. This position demands a dedicated professional to act as the sole provider of anesthesia services, without Chief CRNA or Physician oversight. The role involves handling various procedures for OB, Podiatry, and Dental cases, including regional and invasive procedures, with a focus on pediatric and adult patient populations.

  • Schedule: Mon-Sun, 24-hour call with an average of 4 calls per week


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform as the sole provider of anesthesia for OB, Podiatry, and Dental cases.
  • Administer regional and invasive anesthesia procedures, including epidurals.
  • Provide full range of emergency care to patients of all age ranges.
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of medical provider procedures to deliver individualized, goal-oriented care.
  • Apply scientific and psychosocial medical provider theory to meet the needs of Native American/Alaskan Native patients.
  • Implement appropriate therapeutic interventions based on disease processes and illness recognition.
  • Manage medications, understanding their desired effects, side effects, and complications.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on childhood immunizations and vaccines.
  • Analyze medical procedure results to determine appropriate medical interventions.


Additional Information

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required.
  • Experience with RPMS EMR system.
  • Must be comfortable working independently in a dynamic and challenging environment.
  • Prefer candidates with 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
