Wellhart is seeking an experienced Internal Medicine Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Virginia. This 10-day assignment begins in early May. The position requires coverage from 9am to 6pm daily, focusing on providing wellness exams for adult male patients, primarily older men with sexual dysfunction. The ideal candidate will be comfortable conducting comprehensive medical history reviews, performing Doppler ultrasounds to assess penile blood flow, and administering intracavernosal injections (ICI). This role also offers the potential for extension.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Conduct comprehensive wellness exams for adult male patients, primarily focusing on sexual health
• Perform thorough medical history reviews
• Administer and interpret Doppler ultrasounds to assess penile blood flow
• Provide intracavernosal injections (ICI) as appropriate
• Evaluate patients' overall health to determine their fitness for sexual activity
• Develop personalized treatment plans for patients with sexual dysfunction
• Educate patients on sexual health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed
• Adhere to all clinic policies and procedures
• Maintain current Virginia state licensure and required certifications

Additional Information:

• Must be comfortable discussing sensitive topics related to sexual health
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with patients
• Experience in men's health or urology preferred
• Familiarity with current treatments and therapies for sexual dysfunction
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
