Job Description

 Wellhart is seeking a skilled Urology Surgeon for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Washington. This 60-day assignment begins on 07/01/2025, with a schedule of 8am to 5pm daily, including night call and 24-hour call requirements. The physician will provide general urology patient care in both ambulatory clinic and community hospital settings, with a 90% outpatient and 10% inpatient split. Responsibilities include managing approximately 16 clinic patients per day, performing 1-5 surgeries per week, and conducting office procedures such as cystoscopies, vasectomies, and prostate biopsies. The role also involves scheduling and performing OR cases for BPH treatment, kidney stones, and other urological conditions.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide general urology patient care in both ambulatory clinic and hospital settings

• Manage approximately 16 clinic patients per day

• Perform 1-5 surgeries per week

• Conduct office procedures including cystoscopies, vasectomies, and prostate biopsies

• Schedule and perform OR cases for BPH treatment, kidney stones, and other urological conditions

• Handle both outpatient (90%) and inpatient (10%) care

• Participate in night call and 24-hour call rotations

• Utilize Epic electronic health record system for documentation and patient management

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

• Ensure high-quality patient care and optimal surgical outcomes
